NOAA and NASA answer questions about Jason-3

Jason-3, scheduled to launch on January 17, is the 3rd of the Jason series.

The satellite will secure the continuity of high quality ocean altimetry measurements in support of climate monitoring, operational oceanography and seasonal forecasting.

To explain the role of the satellite and provide more information about the launch, NASA and NOAA answered questions from the public on reddit this past Tuesday.
