Copernicus at COP-21

On the eve of COP-21’s closing day, the Copernicus Climate Change Service and the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service organised a side event to explain the role of Copernicus satellites in climate monitoring.

Among other participants, Kenneth Holmlund, EUMETSAT’s Chief Scientist, was there to explain how satellite data will be used for Copernicus.

EUMETSAT will be operating the Sentinel 4 and 5 atmospheric monitoring missions, which will be onboard the Meteosat Third Generation and Metop Second Generation satellites (EPS-SG), and will also operate the Sentinel-3 and Sentinel-6 ocean monitoring satellites.

The event was live tweeted on twitter and it can be followed here.
