Copernicus workshop on Climate Observation Requirements

ECMWF is holding a Copernicus workshop on Climate Observation Requirements which will take place at the European Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) in Reading, UK from 29 June - 2 July 2015.

People wishing to be considered for the programme of talks and posters have until 11 May to apply, while those wishing to attend can apply until 11 June.

The workshop will address the observation-based content of the Climate Data Store which is to form a key part of the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) being implemented by ECMWF on behalf of the European Commission. The technical requirements and design of the Climate Data Store was the subject of a separate workshop held at ECMWF in March 2015.

Outcomes of the workshop will be used to guide the development of the observational component of the Climate Data Store catalogue and to help specify scientific and technical service requirements in this area.

The workshop is sponsored by C3S, ECMWF, the FP7 ERA-CLIM2 project and the World Climate Research Programme.
